  • We spread dropcloths making a path from the door to the work area. Cuts are made outside. Clean up includes vacuuming work area and we don’t leave until you’re happy. It’s not a jobsite – it’s your home.

  • We are fully licensed and carry both General Liability and Workers Compensation. Certificate provided on request.

  • How do you change out the balusters?
  • Start
Upon arrival for installation, we meet with the homeowner and review the area where the installation will take place; making sure any personal articles are moved out of the work area. We verify with the homeowner the baluster color, style and pattern and go over where we will cut outside. Drop cloths are put down to protect the floors during the installation.

    Removal of Old Balusters
Next the old wood balusters are cut from the staircase. The holes in the railings and treads are cleaned of any old nails and glue. The holes are also inspected to make sure they are properly sized for the new balusters. Lastly the work area is vacuumed so a neat installation can begin.

    Installation of New Balusters
Each baluster is measured and cut for a proper fit. The balusters are installed to the specified pattern using baluster shoes at the base to cover the unfinished part of each tread where the bottom of the old wood baluster sat. The top and bottom of the balusters are secured with epoxy glue for a snug rattle-free stair rail.

    Clean up and Inspection
We remove all tools and drop cloths from the work area and vacuum thoroughly. The work is double checked as complete and the homeowner is asked to inspect the job. We don’t leave until you are satisfied. If the job is going to take an additional day we set up the timeline for the next day with the homeowner.
